We are thrilled to announce our new Houston Chapter, led by Dr. Mabel Cuesta of the Univ. of Houston.
Give2Cuba Houston is a humanitarian project that provides life saving medications, medical equipment, and food to vulnerable families in Matanzas and Havana, Cuba.
The project is led by Dr. Mabel Cuesta, Associate Professor of U.S. Latino and Caribbean Literature at the University of Houston. Dr. Cuesta has been organizing and leading humanitarian relief trips to Cuba since 2019.
Our next trip is Oct. 31. Please make a gift to provide food, medicine and other essentials to families in need.
Join our project for the people of Cuba!
Give2Cuba Houston organizes humanitarian relief trips from Houston to Cuba to deliver donated food, medicine, and other essentials to families and individuals in need. The project provides direct help to families, as well as work with trusted community leaders (such as clergy) to identify and reach the elderly and other vulnerable people.
In 2025, Give2Cuba Houston will organize four relief trips to Cuba. Our goal is to deliver over $25,000 in donated food, medicine, medical equipment, hygiene products and other essentials to individuals and families.
Give2Cuba Houston is the main supporter of Matanzas, Siempre me Curas (feeding program) and Solo el Amor (medical supplies). Our Houston area friends and donors generously provide the funds needed to run these programs. In 2024, Give2Cuba Houston provided over $3,000 in funds to purchase food and prepare and provide meals to 15 vulnerable elderly in Matanzas. In 2025, our goal is to provide at least $10,000 for this program, to increase access for an additional 30 elderly.
How You Can Help: Donate food, medical supplies, OTC medications, prescription medications and personal hygiene products for our trips to Cuba. Your gifts will be personally delivered to families in need in Cuba.
Make a cash gift to help buy food, medicine and other essentials, and to support our feeding program for the elderly in Matanzas. All gifts are tax deductible.
